背景信息	Protein Kinase C delta-binding protein or alternatively Cavin-3, or SRBC, or Serum Deprivation Response Factor-related gene product that binds to C-kinase, and encoded by the human gene PRKCDBP/SRBC is an internal cytoplasmic protein expressed by epithelial and breast tissue that binds protein kinase C delta and helps to stabilize the additional binding of protein kinase C delta partners. PRKCDBP appears to also have tumor suppression activity and is down regulated in breast, lung, brain and ovarian cancers. PRKCDBP is strongly induced under serum stress in cultured epithelial cell lines, suggesting again a protective function. Interestingly, PRKCDBP appears to be a clock or period setting protein as its gain or loss altered circadian gene expression.
