背景信息	MDS1 and EVI1 complex locus protein EVI1, also known as Ecotropic virus integration site 1 protein homolog (EVI-1), and encoded by the gene name MECOM or EVI1, is a transcriptional regulator and oncoprotein that may be involved in hematopoiesis, apoptosis, development, and cell differentiation and proliferation. It can interact with CTBP1, SMAD3, CREBBP, KAT2B, MAPK8, and MAPK9. EVI-1 is lcoalized to the nucleus and can undergo a mutation with AML1, resulting in overexpression of this protein and the onset of leukemia.
