背景信息	Kinesin-like protein KIF11 is also known as Kinesin-like protein 1 (KNSL1), Kinesin-like spindle protein HKSP, Kinesin-related motor protein Eg5, and Thyroid receptor-interacting protein 5 (TRIP5). Kinesin-like protein KIF11 is a cytoskelatal motor protein that is critical to establish bipolar spindles. Removal of Kinesin-like protein KIF11 prevents centrosome migration and causes cell arrest in mitosis. Kinesin-like protein KIF11 is also a component of a large chromatin remodeling complex, thought to be composed of MYSM1, PCAF, RBM10 and KIF11/TRIP5. Kinesin-like protein KIF11 defects are linked to the disease of microcephaly with or without chorioretinopathy, lymphedema, or mental retardation (MCLMR).
