    背景信息 Cyclic nucleotide-gated channel alpha-1 (CNGA1) is also called cGMP-gated cation channel alpha-1, Cyclic nucleotide-gated cation channel 1, Cyclic nucleotide-gated channel, photoreceptor, and Rod photoreceptor cGMP-gated channel subunit alpha. CNGA1 is involved in Visual signal transduction, which is mediated by a G-protein coupled signaling using cGMP as second messenger. CNGA1 is activated by cyclic GMP to open cation channels which lead to a depolarization of rod photoreceptors.CNGA1 is expressed in rod cells of the retina. CNGA1 defects can cause retinitis pigmentosa type 49 (RP49).
