背景信息 Plexin-B3 is a member of the plexin-B family of semaphorin receptors. The plexin-B family of receptors may be especially important in axonal guidance during nervous system development. Plexin-B3 is thought to play an intricate and non-redundant role in this development. It is a specific receptor for Semaphorin-5A (Sema5A), whose activation by Sema5A mediates functional responses in Plexin-B3-expressing cells (either fibroblasts, epithelial and primary endothelial cells).
