概述	The MILLIPLEX® MAP Human Neuropeptide Magnetic Bead Panel is to be used for the simultaneous quantification of the following 6 analytes in any combination: α-MSH, β-Endorphin, Neurotensin, Orexin A, Oxytocin, and Substance P. This kit may be used for the analysis of all or any combination of the above analytes in tissue/cell lysate, culture supernatant samples, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Serum or plasma samples may also be used, and will need to be extracted. An important note about this magnetic conversion panel is that the samples may be extracted using either the acetonitrile precipitation technique or the Waters 96-well HLB extraction plate. Please refer to the protocol for more information on both methods. The necessary components to perform the extractions are not included with the kit.
背景信息	The central nervous system is a complex environment consisting of billions of neurons and glial support cells. These neurons use chemical signals to communicate information. Neuropeptides are neuronal signaling molecules secreted by the central and peripheral nervous systems, influencing a broad spectrum of biological functions including the regulation of metabolism, reproduction, immunity, and behavior. Understanding the role of neuropeptides in the pathogenesis of devastating neuronal diseases and behavioral disorders is fundamental. While it is understood that accurate measurement of neuropeptides is important, conventional methods, including RIAs and ELISAs, are not able to simultaneously measure multiple neuropeptides with small sample volume. EMD Millipore’s MILLIPLEX® MAP Human Neuropeptide Magnetic Bead Panel is a 6-plex kit to be used for the simultaneous quantification of any or all of the following analytes in serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), tissue/cell lysate, and culture supernatant samples: α-Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone (α-MSH), β-Endorphin, Neurotensin, Orexin A, Oxytocin, and Substance P.
