背景信息	Periostin (POSTN) is a secreted protein that binds to heparin and plays an important role in cell adhesion. It is widely expressed with highest levels found in the aorta, stomach, lower gastrointestinal tract, breast, placenta, and uterus. POSTN is not expressed in normal ovaries. Abnormal expression of POSTN has been associated with breast cancers.
