背景信息 Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 8 (TRPM8) is also known as Long transient receptor potential channel 6 (LTrpC-6), and Transient receptor potential p8 (Trp-p8). TRPM8 is a receptor-activated non-selective cation channel involved in detection of sensations such as coolness. TRPM8 is activated by icilin, eucalyptol, menthol, cold and changes to intracellular pH. TRPM8 is expressed in prostate as well as tumors of the prostate, colon, lung, breast and skin.
