背景信息 Golgi phosphoprotein 2 (GOLPH2), also known as Golgi membrane protein 1 (GOLM1), Golgi membrane protein GP73, and Golgi phosphoprotein 2. GOLPH2 is a Golgi phosphoprotein that has a short cytoplasmic N-terminal domain, a membrane spanning region, and a longer C-terminal domain. GOLPH2 is a cellular response protein to viral infections, and is significantly increased in livers infected by viruses like HBV and HCV. GOLPH2 is widely expressed, with high expression in colon, prostate, trachea and stomach. GOLPH2 has been found to be higher in prostate cancer tissues compared to normal prostate tissue, and therefore is a potential positive marker for prostate cancer.
