背景信息 RARG, also known as RAR-gamma, Retinoic acid receptor gamma, or Nuclear receptor subfamily 1 group B member 3 (NR1B3), and encoded by the gene RARG/NR1B3, is a component of the receptor for retinoic acid. Retinoic acid receptors (RAR’s) are a form of nuclear receptor that can also act as a transcription factor that is activated by retinoic acid. RARG is one of three retinoic acid receptors (RARA & RARB) and RARG is required for limb bud development and together with RARA or RARB receptor proteins is required for skeletal growth, matrix homeostasis and growth-plate function. RARG belongs to the nuclear hormone receptor NR1 subfamily of intracellular nuclear receptors and in the absence of ligand acts as a corepressor protein on target genes.
