背景信息 The protein named Spermidine synthase (SPDSY) or alternatively Putrescine aminopropyltransferase and encoded by the human gene named SRM or SPS1/SRML1 is a cytoplasmic protein expressed in sperm, immune and other cell types that catalyzes the production of spermidine from putrescine and decarboxylated S-adenosylmethionine. SRM and other polyamines have many functions within cells linked to cell survival. SRM synchronizes ion and pH gradients across cell membranes as well as regulating calcium influx, nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activation and other vital cellular mechanisms. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
