描述 Human recombinant histone H3.3-H4 tetramers 概述 Human recombinant histone H3.3-H4 tetramers expressed in E Coli. as fusion proteins with either an N-terminal FLAG® or 6xHis epitopes, and purified by Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography (FPLC). 背景信息 The core histones, H2A, H2B, H3, and H4, form a central octameric structure that binds approximately 147 bp of DNA to form a nucleosome. The histone variant H3.3 replaces the conventional H3.1 histone in a wide range of nucleosomes in active genes, and are incorporated into chromatin independently of DNA synthesis. The structure of chromatin can be altered by post-translational modifications (PTM) occurring on the C- and N-terminal tails of core histones. Histone modifications can either provide or hinder access of key transcriptional complexes to DNA sequences and can regulate the expression of genes.
