描述 Human recombinant histone H2A-H2B dimers 概述 Human recombinant histone H2A-H2B dimers expressed in E Coli. as fusion proteins with either an N-terminal FLAG® or 6xHis epitopes, and purified by Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography (FPLC). 背景信息 The core histones, H2A, H2B, H3, and H4, form a central octameric structure that binds approximately 147 bp of DNA to form a nucleosome. The nucleosome is the first order of DNA compaction in the nucleus, and is the basic unit of chromatin. The structure of chromatin can be altered by post-translational modifications (PTM) occurring on the C- and N-terminal tails of H2A, H2B, H3, and H4. Histone modifications can either provide or hinder access of key transcriptional complexes to DNA sequences, and can regulate the expression of genes.
