    背景信息 DDB1, also known as DNA damage-binding protein 1, or DDB p127 subunit, or DNA damage-binding protein A (DDBa), Damage-specific DNA-binding protein 1, HBV X-associated protein 1 (XAP-1), UV-damaged DNA-binding factor, UV-damaged DNA-binding protein 1 (UV-DDB 1), XPE-binding factor (XPE-BF), or Xeroderma pigmentosum group E-complementing protein (XPCe), and encoded by the gene DDB1/XAP1, is a component of the UV-DDB complex that is required for the DNA repair of UV-damaged DNA. DDB1 also a component in the DCX(DDB1-CUL4-X-box) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex. The functional specificity of the DCX E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex is determined by the variable substrate recognition component recruited by DDB1. Additionally DDB1, via the DCX complexes, allows for histones to get ubiquitinated and this may facilitate their removal from the nucleosome and promote subsequent DNA repair. DDB1 is localized to the cytoplasm and nucleus but primarily cytoplasmic except after UV irradiation, then the protein translocates to the nucleus and accumulates at sites of DNA damage. This protein serves as a popular UV treated marker.
