    背景信息 Nicalin, also referred to as NET59, is a transmembrane signaling factor for the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFbeta) superfamily. Nicalin is thought to negatively regulate Nodals, which are essential in vertebrate development and various cell fate decisions that are key for the proper development of the embryonic body plan. Nicalin is related to the gamma-secretase, Nicastrin which has been associated to Alzheimer’s disease. Nicalin can also associate with NOMO (Nodal modulator) and plays a role in the assembly and the stability of this interaction.
