背景信息	With SmartFlare™ RNA Detection probes, you can detect RNA in LIVE CELLS with ease. With just an overnight incubation of AKT1; Human, Cyanine 5, RNA Detection Probe you can detect the presence of AKT1 within your cells. The serine/threonine kinase Akt is activated by numerous growth-factor and immune receptors. A key enzyme in Akt activation is phosphatidylinositide 3-kinase (PI-3K), which triggers the dual phosphorylation of Akt by phosphatidylinositol-dependent-kinases. Akt can couple to pathways that regulate apoptosis, glycogen metabolism, and glucose uptake. Akt can also regulate several transcription factors including E2F, CREB, Daf-16, and NF-κB. Akt features a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain (amino acids 1 - 106) that has been implicated in interactions with other proteins such as the G-protein βɣ-subunits and phosphoinositides. The kinase domain is located between residues 148 and 411. Akt1 results in different migratory patterns on a Western blot depending on the state of phosphorylation.
