背景信息 Titin is a large complex protein containing over one hundred IgG-like and fibronectin type-III domains, in addition to multiple Kelch, RCC1, TPR, and WD repeats. It is a member of the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family and also possesses a protein kinase domain, which is involved in controlling gene expression and protein turnover in muscle tissues. Titin also functions as a sensor to mediate appropriate cellular responses to mechanical stress. In striated muscle tissue, titin regulates the length of the sarcomere by integrating myosin and actin filaments at the Z-disk and M-band, and facilitates the elasticity of the sarcomere. Titin also regulates sarcomere assembly and functions as central hub in signal transduction pathways.
