背景信息	Inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor type 1, also known as IP3 receptor isoform 1 (IP3R 1 or InsP3R1) or Type 1 inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor (Type 1 InsP3 receptor), and encoded by the gene name ITPR1 or INSP3R1, is an intracellular receptor for inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate. Upon stimulation by inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate, ITPR1 mediates calcium release from the endoplasmic reticulum. ITPR1 plays an important role in ER stress-induced apoptosis. ITPR1 is widely expressed. Mutations in ITPR1 cause spinocerebellar ataxia type 15, a disease associated with an heterogeneous group of cerebellar disorders.
