    应用说明 Flow cytometry, 1:100 or 10 microliters per 10E6 cells.

    Inhibition of VLA-5 mediated cell adhesion to fibronectin is generally achieved at 10 microliters per 100 microliters of cell suspension containing 10E6 cells.

    Immunohistochemistry: Acetone or lightly fixed PFA fixed tissues only; traditional formalin fixation is not recommended.

    Immunoprecipitation of VLA-5 from lysate of 10E6 cell equivalent requires 5 microliters of BMA5 in no more than 500 microliters cell lysate (<0.5% triton X-100 recommended).

    As the antibody recognizes the integrin complex, it will not detect alpha5 or beta1 subunits in western blots.

    Final working dilutions must be determined by end user.

    Cell lines tested by using BMA5 to express VLA-5 include: mouse bone marrow-derived mast cells, melanoma cell line B16F1, squamous carcinoma SCC-VII, fibroblast cell line NIH-3T3, splenic T lymphocytes, thymocytes and various T cell lines.

This gene encodes the integrin alpha 5 chain. Alpha chain 5 undergoes post-translational cleavage in the extracellular domain to yield disulfide-linked light and heavy chains that join with beta 1 to form a fibronectin receptor. In addition to adhesion, integrins are known to participate in cell-surface mediated signalling.
