背景信息 Polycomb complex protein Bmi-1 also known as Polycomb group RING finger protein 4 or RING finger protein 51 and encoded by the gene named Bmi-1, PCGF4, or RNF51 is a critical part of a multiprotein protein regulatory complex (PRC-1) that is necessary for the maintenance of the repressive state of many genes including HOX (homeobox) genes throughout development. Defects in Bmi-1 cause improper development in hematopoiesis, skeletal patterning and numerous neurological functions including the development of the cerebellum. Originally known only as a cancer oncogene Bmi-1 is now know to be necessary for the efficient self-renewal of adult stem cells from many sources including those of blood and nervous systems. Defective Bmi-1 activity is associated with many cancers including bladder, skin, prostate, breast, ovarian and colorectal cancers. 储存和货运信息 存储条件 Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
