Monocytic cells, interfollicular dendritic cells and dendritic reticulum cells are stained in sections of lymphoid tissue. The CD14 molecule is comprised of 365 amino acids and is anchored to the plasma membrane via a cleavable phosphoinositol linkage. CD14 is the LPS and LPS-binding protein receptor.
