背景信息	Sp110 nuclear body protein (SP110), or alternatively known as Interferon-induced protein 41/75, Speckled 110 kDa, or Transcriptional coactivator Sp110 is a transcription factor that is induced by interferon gamma as well as retinoic acid. It is highly expressed in leukocytes and spleen but also present in most other tissues as well including the brain, heart, and skeletal muscle. SP110 localizes to a structure within the nucleus called the nuclear body. The nuclear body is a multiprotein complex that appears to function as an enhancer for various genes; SP110 may also act as a nuclear hormone receptor and play some role in ribosome biogenesis as well as myeloid cell differentiation. Moreover, SP110 appears to play an important role in resistance to intracellular pathogens and immunity as several polymorphisms of the gene are associated with susceptibility to infection from various virus or pathogenic bacteria. EMD-Millipore’s Anti-SP110 rabbit polyclonal antibody has been tested in western blots on HeLa cell extracts.
