背景信息 RNA demethylase ALKBH5 is also known as Alkylated DNA repair protein alkB homolog 5 and Alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase alkB homolog 5. ALKBH5 is a dioxygenase that demethylates RNA, specifically N(6)-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA, which affects mRNA processing and export and is needed for spermatogenesis.
