背景信息 Leader binding protein-1a (LBP-1a) also known as Upstream-binding protein 1, and UBP1 functions as a transcriptional activator in a promoter context-dependent manner. This protein is known to activate a number of genes related to cell growth and differentiation. LBP-1 proteins have been shown to form dimmers. In cultured cells, LBP-1a and LSF (a.k.a. LBP-1c) are localized in the cytoplasm, but translocate into the nucleus after forming heterodimers with LBP-1b, a splicing variant of LBP-1a with an intrinsic nuclear localization signal (NLS). Other studies have shown that LBP-1a binds strongly to sequences around the HIV-1 initiation site and can repress HIV-1 transcription by inhibiting the binding of TFIID to the TATA-box. 产品信息 格式 Affinity Purified 控制 - Huvec cell lysate

Involved in regulation of the alpha-globin gene in erythroid cells. Activation of the alpha-globin promoter in erythroid cells is via synergistic interaction with TFCP2 (By similarity). Involved in regulation of the alpha-globin gene in erythroid cells. Binds strongly to sequences around the HIV-1 initiation site and weakly over the TATA-box. Represses HIV-1 transcription by inhibiting the binding of TFIID to the TATA-box.
