背景信息	The protein named Bcl-2-like protein 10 (Bcl2-L-10) or alternatively Anti-apoptotic protein NrH or Apoptosis regulator Bcl-B, and encoded by the human gene BCL2L10/BCLB is member of the BcL2 anti-apoptosis family and promotes cell survival by suppressing the actions of BAX and BAK in destabilizing the mitochondrial membrane potential leading to apoptosis activation. BCL2L10 can interact with Bcl-2, BcL2L1/BCL-XL, and BAX. It is expressed in the cytoplasm and interacts primarily at the mitochondrial membranes. BCL2L10 is abundantly expressed in human embryos prior to implantation and was predominantly cytoplasmic with localization at the mitochondria in normal embryos. In abnormal embryos BCL2L10 was outside the mitochondria as well as nuclear located, but the exact nature of the role of BCL2L10 in abnormal embryos is still be elucidated. Interestingly, BCL2L10 because of its anti-apoptotic effects is also the cause for anti-cancer drug resistance and it is used a marker for potential drug failures in anti-cancer therapy. EMD-Millipore’s Anti-BCL2L10 rabbit polyclonal antibody has been tested in western blots on A2780 cell extracts and in paraffin embedded immunohistochemistry on human lung tissue sections.
