背景信息	The protein receptor named Serine/threonine protein kinase receptor R3 (SKR3), or Activin receptor-like kinase 1 (ALK-1), or TGF-beta superfamily receptor type 1 (TSR-1), and encoded by the human gene named ACVRL1/ACVRLK1/ALK1 is the receptor for BMP9/GDF2 and BMP10 and plays an important role in normal blood vessel development. ACVRL1 is expressed by endothelial cells and other tissues. Expression of ACVRL1 in cancers correlates with advanced cancer and invasion characteristics so ACVRL1 expression levels are being examined as a prognostic marker for cancer as well as target for anti-cancer therapy. EMD-Millipore’s Ant- ACVRL1 rabbit polyclonal antibody has been tested in western blot on Jurkat cell extracts on in paraffin embedded immunohistochemistry on human lymphoma tissues sections.
