背景信息	Charged multivesicular body protein 2b (CHMP2B) is a member of the SNF7 family. It is a component of the endosomal sorting complex required for transport III (ESCRT-III), which involves endosomal and autophagic trafficking of proteins to lysosomes for degradation. CHMP2B is expressed in brain, heart, skeletal muscle, spleen, kidney, liver, small intestine, pancreas, lung, placenta and leukocytes. Mutations of CHMP2B have been associated with frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD).
