背景信息	Glutamate carboxypeptidase (FOLH1) is a member of the peptidase M28 family and is involved in prostate tumor progression. It is highly expressed in prostate epithelium and detected in urinary bladder, kidney, testis, ovary, fallopian tube, breast, adrenal gland, liver, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon and brain (at protein level). Mutations in FOLH1 have been associated with prostate cancer and hyperhomocysteinemia. FOLH1 may be a possible marker for neurological disorders such as schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease and Huntington disease.
