背景信息 BST-2 also known as CD317 and Tetherin, bone marrow stromal antigen 2 (BST-2) is an interferon-inducible transmembrane protein that potently inhibits the release of nascent retrovirus particles. BST-2 is downregulated by the viral Vpu protein. BST-2 acts as a direct physical tether, which holds and links virions at the cell membrane. These tethered virons can remain on the cell surface or be internalized by endocytosis for degradation. BST-2 inhibits MMP2 and MMP15 activity, resulting in the attenuation of cellular proliferation and migration.
