背景信息 Tricellulin, also known as MARVEL domain-containing protein 2, is a tetraspan transmembrane protein that participates in tight junction formation across cells. Occludin and tricellulin are the only human proteins known to contain both a MARVEL domain and an OCC-ELL domain. As such they are likely to have shared yet disparate functions. Sensorineural deafness results from damage to the neural receptors of the inner ear, the nerve pathways to the brain, or the area of the brain that receives sound information.
