    背景信息 Myosin-2A heavy chain (MYH9) phosphorylation is known to be very important in regulating cell motility and chemotaxis. The suppression of myosin-2A heavy chain expression is strongly associated with osteoclast fusion and multinucleation. Recent research indicates that modifications in the myosin-IIA heavy chain could increase the risk of kidney disease. Myosin-2A heavy chain is shown to work with WAVE2 and is localized at the leading edge of the lamellipodia formation in cells.

The protein is involved in several important functions, including cytokinesis, cell motility and maintenance of cell shape. Defects in MYH9 are the cause of non-syndromic sensorineural deafness autosomal dominant type 17, Epstein syndrome, Alport syndrome with macrothrombocytopenia, Sebastian syndrome, Fechtner syndrome and macrothrombocytopenia with progressive sensorineural deafness.
