    概述 A metal ion chelator that crosses the blood brain barrier and acts as a neurotoxic antibiotic. Reported to dissolve senile plaques and reduce amyloid’s ability to clump together, apparently by trapping the Cu2+ and Zn2+ that stud these deposits. Shown to increase distal dominant axonopathy in animal models.
