背景信息	WNK2 (with no K=lysine 2) is a serine/threonine protein kinase with catalytic domains that are 95% homologous to WNK1. WNK2 is thought to play a role in blood pressure homeostasis. WNK2 has been identified as a cell growth regulator that is thought to regulate ERK1/2 protein kinase activation. Specifically, WNK2 seems to regulate a RhoA-mediated cross-talk apparatus that controls how well MEK1 can activate ERK1/2 once the growth factor is excited. This control over cell proliferation has made WNK2 a potential target tumor suppressor.
