    背景信息 Contactin-associated protein-like 2 (caspr2) is also called cell recognition molecule Caspr2, and CNTNAP2. Caspr2 may play a role in forming distinct domains critical for conduction of nerve impulses in myelinated nerve fibers, and appears to demarcate the juxtaparanodal region of axo-glial junctions. Caspr2 defects can cause cortical dysplasia-focal epilepsy syndrome (CDFES), and genetic Caspr2 variations can alter susceptibility to autism type 15 (AUTS15).

    应用说明 Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:1,000 and a 1:250 dilution from a representative lot detected Caspr2 in human thalamus tissue. Additionally, A 1:250 dilution from a reprsentative lot detected Caspr2 in rat brain tissue.

    Western Blotting Analysis: A representative lot detected Caspr2 in adult brain membrane tissue lysate from wild type mice, and demonstrated a loss of signal in adult brain membrane tissue lysate from Caspr2 knockout mice (Prof. J. Trimmer, University of California, Davis.).
