背景信息 Close homologue of L1 (CHL1) is a predominantly neural protein, which is highly expressed in the developing nervous system, particularly in neurons and glia of the cerebellum and spinal cord, and in Schwann cells of the peripheral nervous system. In addition to its roles in axon guidance, neuronal growth, and synaptic plasticity, CHL-1 may also regulate the differentiation of neural progenitor cells and the regeneration of nerve tissue. It belongs to the family of L1 adhesion proteins, and produces its effects through the interactions of its multiple domains, which include six immunoglobulin (Ig)-like domains; and over four fibronectin type III (FN)-like repeats. Mice lacking functional CHL-1 show abnormal axonal connectivity and display spatial and cognitive deficits. It has been suggested that the CHL-1 gene (CALL), which has been mapped to chromosome h3p26.1, is required for proper cognitive functioning in humans, and may contribute to “3p-syndrome.” 产品信息 格式 Purified 控制 - Mouse p1 spinal cord tissue lysate
