背景信息 Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 1 (TREM-1) is a membrane bound protein and secreted protein that is expressed by most cells in many tissues including liver, lung, spleen, lymph node, heart, and even spinal cord in response to bacterial and fungal infections. TREM-1 stimulates neutrophil and monocyte mediated inflammatory responses. TREM-1 also triggers pro-inflammatory chemokines and cytokines as well as increases surface expression of cell activation markers like CD11, thus TREM-1 acts as an amplifier of inflammatory responses in response to these pathogens.
