    • Western Blotting
    应用说明 Immunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:2,000 on alcohol fixed deparaffinized tissue sections (ABC peroxidase) or 1:10,000 on Methacarn-fixed deparaffinized tissue sections. Will show fine granular cytoplasmic staining associated with secretory granules.

    Western Blot: recognizes a band migrating at approximately 68-75 kDa corresponding to chromogranin A.

    Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

The antibody has been extensively documented on immunohistochemical studies in deparaffinized methacarn fixed tissue, where it is a sensitive marker of neuroendocrine cells and tumors. Not recommended for formalin fixed tissues, see MAB5268 or CBL219. On western blots, it identifies the identical bands recognized by antibody LK2H10 (Wilson and Lloyd).

    Entrez基因汇总 The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. It is found in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells. This gene product is a precursor to three biologically active peptides; vasostatin, pancreastatin, and parastatin. These peptides act as autocrine or paracrine negative modulators of the neuroendocrine system. Other peptides, including chromostatin, beta-granin, WE-14 and GE-25, are also derived from the full-length protein. However, biological activities for these molecules have not been shown.
