背景信息 Organelle transport is facilitated by molecular motors, such as kinesin and dynein, which interact with microtubules to transport cargo in an ATP-dependent manner. The shuttling of organelles is also dependent on kinectin, a transmembrane ER protein that associates with kinesin and stimulates its ATPase activity. Kinesin-kinectin dynamics have also been linked to focal adhesion growth. In addition, kinectin has been shown to activate the RhoG GTPase pathway which involves Rac1 and Cdc42 signaling.
