背景信息 Claudin-3 is a member of a family of claudins that are tight junction integral membrane proteins with four transmembrane domains and two extracellular loops. Claudin-3 has been shown to be the main component in the integrity of the blood-brain barrier tight junctions and is lost during inflammation caused by experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis.
