背景信息 The protein Interleukin-9 (IL-9/IL9) or also known as Cytokine P40, or T-cell growth factor P40, and encoded by the human gene named IL9 is a cytokine that assists in the growth of many cells including T cells. IL9 specifically supports the IL2 and IL4 independent growth of T helper cells. IL9 is largely produced by T lymphocytes, or a critical subset of T cells, and IL9 expression can be enhanced by TGF-beta and IL-4. IL9 is also produced by mast cells in response to LPS and IL-1. IL9 gene expression is regulated by a host of transcription factors including GATA3. Interestingly, IL9 also demonstrates profound anti-tumor functions as well as many other effects including regulating inflammatory immunity. Besides T cells, IL9 influences B cell development and function, mast cell function, hematopoietic progenitor cell development, airway epithelial cells and smooth muscle cell activity as well. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
