背景信息	Killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily G member 1 (KLRG1), or alternatively C-type lectin domain family 15 member A, ITIM-containing receptor MAFA-L, MAFA-like receptor, Mast cell function-associated antigen, and encoded by the human gene named KLRG1, CLEC15A, MAFA, or MAFAL, is a natural killer (NK) cell and T-Cell marker and membrane protein that plays an inhibitory on NK cell activation and proliferation. The cytolytic activity of natural killer (NK) cells is regulated by inhibitory receptors that detect the absence of self molecules on target cells. KLRG1 is one of the mediating receptors for non-MHC ligands. KLRG1 is also closely associated with CD8+ T cells and during certain infections distinct populations of CD8+, KLRG1+(high) and CD8+ KLRG+(low) populations can exist. EMD-Millipore’s Anti-KLRG1 rabbit polyclonal antibody has been tested in western blotting on human blood lysates and in paraffin embedded immunohistochemistry on human breast cancer tissue sections.
