背景信息	Exosome component 10 protein (EXOSC10), or alternatively known as Autoantigen PM/Scl 2, P100 polymyositis-scleroderma overlap syndrome-associated autoantigen, Polymyositis/scleroderma autoantigen 100 kDa (PM/Scl-100), or Polymyositis/scleroderma autoantigen 2 and encoded by the human gene named EXOSC10/PMSCL/PMSCL2/RRP6 is the catalytic enzyme component of RNA exosome complex that participates in multiple cellular RNA processing events. EXOSC10 localizes primarily to the nucleolus within the nucleus but can be found in the cytoplasm in RNA exosome complexes. EXOSC10 has 3'-5' exonuclease activity and EXOSC10 is required for nucleolar localization of C1D and probably mediates the association of SKIV2L2, C1D and MPP6 with the RNA exosome involved in the maturation of 5.8S rRNA. In earlier literature EXOSC10 was detected as the autoantigen in autoimmune diseases such as scleromyositis, a complex autoimmune disease that can take many forms including Raynaud's phenomenon, arthritis, and scleroderma.
