背景信息 ELAV-like protein 4 (ELAVL4) also know as Human neuron-specific RNA-binding protein HuD belongs to the family of Hu proteins and consists of two N-terminal RNA recognition motifs (RRM1 and -2), a hinge region, and a C-terminal RRM (RRM3). Characteristically, these homologs all contain three RNA recognition motifs (RRM), and they specifically bind to AU-rich elements (ARE) in the 3'-untranslated region of mRNAs transcripts. ARE sites target mRNA for rapid degradation and thereby regulate the expression levels of genes involved in cell growth and differentiation. HuD is localized and expressed in brain tissue immediately after neuroblastic differentiation into neurons and is necessary for neuronal differentiation and maintenance. HuD has been linked with the disease, paraneoplastic encephalomyelitis sensory neuropathy, which is associated with small cell lung cancer and is characterized by dementia, sensory loss, and other neurological disabilities. 产品信息 格式 Purified 控制 - Human Brain lysate
