描述 Anti-Syntenin-1 [Syndecan-binding protein 1] Antibody 背景信息 The syndecans are transmembrane proteoglycans that place structurally heterogeneous heparan sulfate chains at the cell surface and a highly conserved polypeptide in the cytoplasm. Syntenin (also known as SDCBP) is an approximately 33 kDa scaffolding protein that that binds to kainate receptor subunits via a PDZ interaction. There is extensive colocalization of syntenin and kainate receptors with particularly intense labeling for both proteins at growth cones. The syntenin protein contains tandemly repeated PDZ domains that bind the cytoplasmic, C-terminal domains of a variety of transmembrane proteins. This protein may also affect cytoskeletal-membrane organization, cell adhesion, protein trafficking, and the activation of transcription factors. The protein is primarily localized to membrane-associated adherens junctions and focal adhesions but is also found at the endoplasmic reticulum and nucleus.
