背景信息 YES (Proto-oncogene c-Yes) is a member of the src protein tyrosine kinase family (SFK), which is involved in the various cellular processes. Of all the SFKs, c-Yes has been found to have the closest relation to c-Src, the family’s archetypal kinase, as they share greater than 80% homology. Researchers have speculated that c-Yes may be involved in protein sorting or vesicular trafficking due to its being the sole SFK present in lipid rafts enriched in caveolin in MDCK cells. Higher levels of c-Yes activities and protein have been observed in melanoma and melanocyte cell lines of human origin.
