背景信息 PI3K Type 3, also known as Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase catalytic subunit type 3, Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase p100 subunit, Phosphoinositide-3-kinase class 3, hVps34, PI3-kinase type 3, PI3K type 3, or PtdIns-3-kinase type 3, and encoded by the gene PIK3C3/VPS34, is the catalytic subunit of the PI3K complex that mediates the formation of phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate which plays a key role in initiation and maturation of autophagosomes and the initiation of autophagy. PI3K Type 3 is also involved in the transport of lysosomal enzyme precursors to lysosomes. Additionally, PI3K Type 3 is required for cytokinesis. PI3K Type 3 is localized to the cytoplasm and endosomes.
