背景信息 Abelson helper integration site 1 (Ahi-1) is an abundant brain protein which may function as an adaptor protein mediating various cellular processes. It contains multiple SH3 binding sites and WD40-repeats, structures known to enable protein-protein interactions and facilitate metabolic functions. The latter is supported by the finding that mutations in Ahi-1 contribute to type 2 diabetes. Ahi-1 also plays an important role in oncogenesis, possibly through its interaction with BCR, ABL, and Jak2.
