背景信息 Abl interactor 1 (Abelson interactor 1, Abi-1, e3B1) is a member of the family of Abl-interactors and is highly expressed in the brain. Abl interactor 1 is involved in the signaling of ABL1 and ABL2 nonreceptor tyrosine kinases, and the EGF-receptor. The Abl interactor 1 protein contains SH3 domains, and may function as an adaptor protein: It forms a trimeric complex with EPS8 and SOS1 in the transduction of signals from Ras to Rac. Previous studies have suggested that Abl interactor 1 via the Ras and Rac pathways may regulate cell proliferation, cell adhesion, and actin remodeling.
