背景信息	Peroxin-7 (PEX7) is also known as Peroxisomal targeting signal 2 receptor (PTS2 receptor). PEX7 is critical in peroxisomal protein import through binding to the N-terminal PTS2-type peroxisomal targeting signal. PEX7 is ubiquitously expressed, with the highest levels found in pancreas, skeletal muscle and heart. Defects in PEX7 can cause peroxisome biogenesis disorder complementation group 11 (PBD-CG11), rhizomelic chondrodysplasia punctata type 1 (RCDP1) and peroxisome biogenesis disorder 9B (PBD9B).
