背景信息	Mimecan, also known as Osteoglycin or Osteoinductive factor (OIF), and encoded by the gene name OGN or OIF or SLRR3A, belongs to the small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family. Osteoglycin is detected in bone and induces ectopic bone formation in conjunction with transforming growth factor beta. Osteoglycin is a small proteoglycan which contains tandem leucine-rich repeats (LRR).

Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
